The Shamrock baseball teams have started their seasons this year with mixed results but promising outlooks.

The varsity team has seen success this season with a winning record at 7-3. Anthony Pasquale, ’18, outfielder, looked at the current season and assessed the differences between the team this season and last season. Pasquale said, “A lot of potential. A lot of depth.”

Coach Ellis, assistant varsity coach, assessed the team and thought towards the future. Coach Ellis said, “We have a chance to be good.”

The sophomore record is 0-1, that’s only one game. Coach Eberle, head sophomore coach, said, “Our big problem right now is we got to play a game.”

The freshman team is facing a similar issue to the sophomore team and it’s that the games are getting canceled. Their record is an even 2-2, a modest four games.

All Shamrock teams show potential for great seasons, but spring showers are holding them back.

In the time between games, all baseball teams have been practicing both their mental and physical games. This is what Coach Eberle calsl “Baseball IQ.”
