Pepper jack, avocado, lettuce, tomato, chipotle ranch, and a pickle, all on a half pound of Hamburger meat done to perfection ($10.50). Three steak tacos with rice, beans, and salsa ($9.75). To cap off your magnificent meal you may enjoy the Brownie a la Mode, topped with vanilla bean ice cream ($6.00).

All of these and more signature dishes are at Janik’s Café, located at 2011 W. Division St. 60622.

My personal favorite is the Meatball Sandwich, three crafted meatballs, your choice of bread, and your cheese of choice ($6.25).

Janik’s has been in the neighborhood for more than ten years, is a family owned business, and is open promptly at 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. They provide delivery from 8 a.m. to one hour before closing. You may pick your food up, if your on the go, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Or you may eat in the wonderfully artistic dining area, being waited on by generous staff members who are devoted to making your experience at Janik’s an enjoyable and memorable one.
