The Basketball Broadcast/Webcast Club will begin reporting on Shamrock basketball this month at the Thanksgiving tournament.

Five students organize the production of the broadcasts of home varsity basketball games just as professionals would with commentary and a live stream.

The commentary includes play-by-play and color commentary. This is done in the corner of the gym up in the balcony. Before the games, one of the members talks to Coach Bailey, the head coach, and after the games, if Saint Patrick wins, one of the players is interviewed.

Other aspects to this club are the cameras and audio. For the audio, one person manages the sounds on the court and how loud the microphones are for the play-by-play. The camera man’s job is to find the most important thing at the moment, especially for the Shamrocks.

The club is moderated by Mr. Doyle, and the broadcasts will end in early Spring.
