The Shamrock golf team faced off against ESCC opponent Marian Catholic last Wednesday. Senior Jay Laboe shot a 41 on the course with some very impressive strokes on the par 3’s. Jay won second place medalist for the Shamrocks.

The number one medalist for the match was Marian Catholic’s Casey Taylor. Casey shot a 39 and was consistent nearly every hole.

Senior Brendan Borner had an astonishing short game with some impressive putts as well. Brendan shot a 44 with the second top score for the Shamrocks. The Shamrocks took the win with a score of 187-180. Junior varsity’s Mikey Collins and Kyle Bendersky led the team to a win with scores of a 49 for Michael and a 46 for Kyle.

The Shamrocks beat Marian Catholic by a score of 203-192. They’ll travel to Willow Hill Golf Course in Northbrook tomorrow to tee off vs. Notre Dame at 3:30 pm.
