The Saint Patrick Cross Country team ran in the Mather Invitational meet on Tuesday. As a team, they finished in 4th place in both the two-mile and three-mile races.

In the two-mile, Colin Bove ‘22 and Tyler Lemke ‘23 led the way, both medaling. Bove finished in 16th place with a time of 13:40 and Lemke finished in 20th with a time of 14:09. The top finisher for the Shamrocks in the three-mile was Liam MaClellan ‘23, who finished in 3rd place individually with a time of 17:08.

The next two Shamrocks in were captains Aidan Lewis ‘21 and Josh Esquilin ‘21. Lewis finished in 7th with a time of 17:51, while Esquilin finished 18th with a time of 19:04. Remy Stafford ‘21 also put in a strong showing, finishing in 22nd with a time of 19:21.

When Coach Iliff was asked about how he felt about the meet, he said “I feel like a medium good. I got a free t-shirt and we got five medals so I can’t complain.”

The team heads out to Marist on Saturday for their next meet.
