The St. Pat’s Varsity Cross Country team took on St. Ignatius and Mt. Carmel in a triangular meet last Friday. The team showed out, as four different runners ran their personal records, and many others nearly did too.

Liam MacLellan ‘23 once again led the pack, finishing in 8th place with a time of 17:17 behind a string of seven St. Ignatius runners. One of the captains, Aidan Lewis ‘21, finished in 11th place, running a personal record time of 17:28. Fellow captain, Josh Esquilin ‘21, finished with a time of 17:51, just 3 seconds slower than his personal record.

The other Shamrock runners who ran personal records are Michael DiSanti ‘21, who finished with a time of 19:32, Colin Bove ‘22, who ran a 19:57, and Scot Zabielski ‘21, who ran a 20:31. Riley Joyce ‘21 ran his best race since the beginning of last year.

The next meet will be the ESCC Conference Championships which will be held tomorrow, Saturday, October 17th, at Arlington Race Track.
